Our Story
Lovali® was founded in 2015 by husband and wife entrepreneurs Alex and Eva Lo. With Alex’s background in perfumery and Eva’s keen aesthetic for beauty and design, the two came together to launch a fragrance house that challenges conventions.
Alex has been crafting fine fragrances since the 1990s, when he apprenticed under renowned perfumers in France. His creations have been featured in luxury boutiques and department stores worldwide. Eva’s career as a fashion photographer honed her eye for beauty and gave her deep insight into what makes something truly alluring.
Together, Alex and Eva are driven by a joint mission: to create unforgettable scents as unique as the wearer. They believe fragrance is deeply personal and should enhance one’s image, mood and inner essence.
After months of testing and refinement, Lovali® debuted its first collection in 2016 to widespread acclaim. The line featured eight stunning perfumes and colognes crafted from rare essential oils and ethically sourced botanical ingredients. Their exquisite compositions and striking packaging earned Lovali® quick recognition as an exciting new player in luxury fragrance.
Since then, the brand has continued to expand its offerings while staying true to its founding ethos. Lovali® fragrances are bold, sophisticated and sensual, blending time-honored perfumery traditions with a contemporary, fashion-forward aesthetic.

Our Perfumers
Lovali® fragrances are created by our in-house perfumery team, led by our founding perfumer Alex Lo.
Alex honed his craft in Grasse, France, the perfume capital of the world. There he trained under renowned ‘nose’ Jacques perfume legend Dominique Ropion before launching his own career as an independent perfumer. Alex’s creations soon gained acclaim for their complexity, sophistication and exotic allure.
In designing each Lovali® fragrance, Alex leads an artistic process that begins with identifying the perfect blend of ingredients to achieve a desired theme or story. He layers rare essences and botanical extracts to create an intricately balanced composition. The result is fragrances with depth, nuance, evolution and unmistakable signature.
Alex oversees a team of top perfumers who bring their own talents and perspectives to the creation process. Each perfumer undergoes rigorous training and testing before their formulations become Lovali® masterpieces.
We give our perfumers the freedom to follow their artistic instincts. The result is a range of strikingly original, passionately crafted scents.
Our Ingredients
Lovali® sources only the most exceptional, sustainably harvested ingredients to create our fragrances. We build relationships with artisanal distillers, growers and collectors around the world to procure oils, absolutes and resins of uncompromising quality.
Many of our natural essences are painstakingly extracted in small batches using traditional methods passed down through generations. These include:
- Bulgarian rose absolute – Harvested from the Valley of Roses, revered for its rich, multifaceted aroma.
- Bergamot – Cold-pressed from bergamot oranges grown on Italy’s Calabrian coastline.
- Ylang ylang – Distilled on the island of Nosy Be off Madagascar, prized for its lush floralcy.
- Jasmine sambac – From their small farm in India, the Chands handpick each blossom at dawn when aromas peak.
- Patchouli – Grown organically in Indonesia without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
- Vetiver – Sustainably cultivated in Haiti; its complex, earthy essence acts as the base for many fragrances.
- Oud – One of the rarest and most precious ingredients; our sustainably harvested oud imparts a rich, woody sensuality.
- Musk – Originating in Tibet, features heavy sensual undertones.
- Ambergris – A rare natural treasure produced in the intestines of sperm whales and traditionally used as a fixative. We use a vegan alternative.
In addition to these precious naturals, we also incorporate exclusive specialty synthetics to add striking complexity. All Lovali® synthetics are rigorously tested for safety and olfactory appeal.
By blending naturals and synthetics, our perfumers can craft fragrances of unmatched depth, evolution and allure. These creations push the boundaries of modern perfumery while retaining the richness of tradition.
Our Creative Process
Lovali® sees fragrance creation as high art. Our process brings together passionate perfumers, fine artists, photographers and designers to breathe life into a shared vision.
It begins with our perfumers translating inspiration into scent. Their artistic talents distill an abstract mood, theme or impression into a fragrant masterpiece.
Next, we develop striking visual assets to complement the scent’s aura. Renowned fine artists create abstract paintings and sculptures, while photographers style lavish, evocative images.
Finally, our package designers weave all these elements into an exhilarating multi-sensory experience. The result is fragrance as theater, presented in collectible pieces of objets d’art.
Lovali® also partners with rising fashion designers each year to develop limited edition “Artisanal Fusion” collections. This collaborative process results in truly unique, avant-garde fragrances that push boundaries.
